As pupils begin or move their way through the groupings, we alter the focus from having a larger breadth and depth of activities associated with establishing competence. This begins with building solid attachments with staff and improving resilience in each individual pupil. We then increase the breadth and depth associated with the content of the curriculum. This ensures we are both aspirational, as well as supportive, of meeting individual pupil needs so that they can move on to their next steps with improved outcomes.
