Welcome to Woodbury House

Woodbury House is situated in a rural location in Herefordshire and supports seven young people aged 11-18 years with a range of complex needs. This includes previous trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional and social difficulties, as well as mild to moderate learning difficulties and an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). We pride ourselves on the success of all of the individuals who have and do reside at the children’s home.

Supporting the needs of the young people

Woodbury House has three teams with a mix of male and female members, and each team has a Team Leader and three Residential Support Workers. All of the staff have a Diploma Level 3 or be studying for this qualification. In addition, staff have Safeguarding and First Aid training, as well as having the benefit of online mandatory training based on a variety of topics that are relevant to the role.

The young people’s wellbeing and achievements are paramount for staff who support them to learn independence and social skills. The staff are very pro-active and make the experience in care as pleasant and positive as possible.
