Careers Education at Queenswood School

There has never been a time when careers guidance has been as important for young people as it is today. The landscape of education, training and employment opportunities that students encounter is growing more vast and complex by the day.

Our aim at Queenswood School is to prepare our students for their future life in today’s world. In careers education, this translates as every student making the right choices for their progression.  We support students in making well-informed decisions by providing access to differentiated, impartial and independent information and guidance about the range of options (including academic, vocational, apprenticeships and supported programmes) that are most likely to help them to achieve their ambitions.

By helping students with decisions at crucial stages, informing them of all their options and introducing them to the world of work, we aim to prepare them for their future whichever pathway they choose.

Here at Queenswood we have a Careers Lead who is available on site to guide and support students, parents and carers as they prepare for life beyond school. Students can request a meeting with the Careers Lead (Bee Corrick) at any time through their tutor. Parents and Carers are invited to address any questions initially via email barbaracorrick@aspriscs.co.uk and Bee will get back to you at the earliest opportunity.

Aims of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) at Queenswood School:
