North Hill House School held its second Autism Conference at The Merlin Theatre in Frome at the end of May 2016.
Speakers included a former pupil who talked about his experiences at the school and how his time there had prepared him for adulthood. He now has a full time job and is currently looking to buy a house with his fiancée.
The audience was captivated by Ros Blackburn’s talk about the challenges she faces every day with her autism and Author, Sheila Barton, also spoke about raising a child with Asperger Syndrome.
Following the Conference at The Merlin Theatre, Delegates then returned to North Hill House School for a further workshop and tour of the school, as well as having a buffet prepared by school catering staff. This was a very successful and enjoyable event.
