Hurworth House offers Key Stage 4 and 5 pupils the opportunity to take part in our work experience programme.
We ensure that all placements are led by the needs, interests and future career aspirations of the young person. Thanks to the school’s thorough transition planning, staff get to know young people extremely well and so can recommend tailored options at a time they feel is appropriate for the student.
The flexible nature of our work experience programme means some students may choose to carry out a short term placement, working full time for a week whereas others prefer to work one day per week over a longer period of time.

- Local primary school
- Engineering firms
- Care homes
