North West Hospital School

Welcome to North West Hospital School

North West Hospital School is for young people aged 12 to 18 years. Our purpose is to provide education for inpatients on the child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) wards at Cheadle Royal Hospital (Woodlands and Elmswood View) and at Priory Altrincham Hospital (Rivendell). We provide education for young people who are unable to access their own school with a range of needs including psychosis, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation and eating disorders.

Our vision at North West Hospital School is ‘Personalised Progress For All’ and we promote the values of Inclusivity (at the core of everything we do), Respect and Aspiration. We provide an innovative and bespoke curriculum for all of our young people that meets their needs and celebrates individuality.

We have a holistic approach and our daily timetable works alongside the therapy timetable to ensure young people get full access to education and therapy input.
We are a Centre of Excellence with the Inclusion Quality Mark, have been awarded the silver level of the National SMSC Quality Mark and are in the process of applying for the Quality in Careers Standard.
