Priory launches new education and care website for professionals and parents of children with complex needs

Priory Education and Children’s Services, which is a part of the Priory Group, has launched an online “one stop shop” to help parents and professionals find the vital services and support they need.

This new, user-friendly website includes a number of features such as an interactive location finder, and school and college ‘mini-websites’, as well as a constantly refreshed section showing current school and college placement availability.

This website covers all areas of the services offered by Priory Education and Children’s Services, a division of Priory Group, such as specialist schools, residential care, transitions into Further Education colleges and employment, a fostering service and support for international students.

This site is designed to provide expert advice for parents and carers seeking guidance in managing the challenges presented by autistic spectrum disorders, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and also specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

There’s also expert input from Local Authorities, as well as from highly experienced staff within Priory schools and care homes – and an in-depth and insightful ‘frequently asked questions’ section.

Inspiring user-testimonials are also available online, giving a personal, first-hand insight into the services from those who actually use them.

Priory Education and Children’s Services currently provides care and education to more than 1,000 children and young people through a network of 28 schools - including the Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated Coxlease School in Hampshire, and Sketchley School in Leicestershire - 78 children’s homes, six specialist FE colleges, and seven CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) schools. It also has an Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated fostering service.

Mark Underwood, Chief Executive Officer of Priory Education and Children’s Services, said: “Whether we’re working with young people with autism, mental health, behavioural or learning needs, our aim is to unlock the potential in everyone we support. We go the extra mile to develop academic, vocational, independence and social skills, helping our young people successfully progress into adulthood.

“We’re extremely proud that 98.4% of leavers successfully move onto employment, education, training and/or residential care provisions.

“We hope that both parents and care professionals will find this website full of news, tips and advice, and we look forward to working alongside them.”
