Residential learners at Strathmore College benefit from an extended curriculum, which sees our young people build on their social and personal development through a variety of leisure activities.
Our activity programme is very much lead by our learners; we encourage learners to get together and decide what they want to do during evenings and weekends and then feed this back to staff. In keeping with the college’s inclusive approach, day learners are also welcome to join in with the activities we arrange for residential learners and often join in with evening and weekend clubs and trips.
Some of the activities our learners enjoy include:
- Attending a weekly disco
- Arts and crafts sessions
- Visiting local pubs
- Eating out in local restaurants
- Visiting Harry Potter World
