Sketchley Hall

Sketchley Hall is a specialist day school for pupils aged 8-14 years with autism. Set within an acre of mature grounds in the village of Burbage, Sketchley Hall provides our pupils with a safe, specially adapted environment where they can learn and grow. The school is specifically designed for pupils with autism and includes rooms for specialist subjects, therapy and quiet areas.

As many of our pupils have had a disrupted education, Sketchley Hall provides the intensive support that enables them to catch up with their studies and feel ready for the next step. Pupils at Sketchley Hall study Key Stage 2 and 3 of the National Curriculum. Learning is tailored to their individual needs and preferences, providing opportunities to take subjects such as Life Skills and Communication Skills, in addition to the more traditional subjects.

At Sketchley Hall we build the behavioural foundations and educational groundwork for our young people to progress. This means that when the time comes, they feel confident and ready to move on to Forest House to take their GCSEs.
