Admissions Information

The criteria for admission to Sketchley School are a combination of individual, family and school environment factors. The school will review all relevant and recent reports which will usually include:

  • Education Health and Care Plan
  • Last school’s report
  • Social history and any relevant reports
  • Psychologist’s reports
  • Psychiatric report (if any) and diagnosis of special need
  • Any other factors e.g. other disability (epilepsy, visual impairment)

We believe that all children with special educational needs, whose local authority and parents wish it and will be assessed against the admission criteria we set.

"Leaders and staff know very well the additional needs of pupils’ special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They provide clear guidance that breaks targets down into achievable steps for each pupil. Staff adapt their teaching and activities they set pupils to enable pupils to learn well. Staff often recognise and celebrate the smallest steps of learning and progress."
